Rainbow Brigade Fundraising Update

Rainbow Brigade Fundraising Update

One our our favourite stories from 2020 was seeing Rainbow Brigade turn their disappointment at seeing their second tournament cancelled, into energy to raise money for a social justice cause that is close to their heart.

Rainbow Brigade kit was sold in aid of the Audre Lorde Project in New York and Lookfly was delighted to be able to help out!

In total, your purchases of Rainbow Brigade gear raised an amazing £905.27 (~$1,018, ~€1,198)!

Please read on for a statement from the team's organisers.

Rainbow Brigade would like to thank our extended circle of friends and family for their continued support, especially considering how much of 2020 was unexpected and difficult. Despite not having the opportunity to play together, it was important to us to try and pursue our mission as best we could.

We are incredibly grateful to VC Lookfly for partnering with us and allowing us to donate a portion of the proceeds to the Audre Lorde Project, whose work supports the LGBTQ+ community. With 79 orders from 14 countries, we are really feeling the love. Once again, we’re so appreciative of our community and their support of LGBTQ+ folx.

(please note: RB have used the "e" instead of the o/a ending for certain words because they have heard that using an "e" is a movement towards gender inclusivity in the Spanish language.)
