Formed in 2001 on the green space of Clapham Common this team has dominated UK Ultimate since and asserted itself internationally too. In 2007 Clapham came out on top against Skogs at the final of ECC in Italy, establishing themselves the as top team in Europe. Since their conception Clapham have won seven back to back UK National titles, have clinched six out of the past 7 tour titles and won EUCC 2005. They do all this with admirable Spirit, their title at Rostock was accompanied by the SOTG award.
2007 has been a milestone year for Clapham culminating with an invite to the Cheaspeake Open, Virginia USA in August 2007. The best team in Britain took another step up in competition by playing some of the premier teams from the East Coast. They beat big names that have featured regularly in the UPA nationals, including Pike during the pool stages and Chain Lightening in the quarters.
Clapham’s superstars, including Ultimate’s answer to Wayne Rooney, have provided us with valuable input for our products. Where better to test our gear than on the backs and legs of a team that contains nine players from GB Open squad at EUC2007? This year’s new blade shorts are a direct result of our links with this team. Their jerseys show off the quality of our fabric and printing, for a team that goes horizontal so much our Aquaduct fabric is up to the challenge

Winners do track
Intensity and hard work make Clapham the team they are. In addition to their two intensive practises per week which feature punishments of 100 push up and 50 sits up for losing a game to 3, they hit the track twice a week also. Working with their speed coach they develop their power and technique to blow the opposition away. Entering this year’s Nike supersonic event two of the Clapham squad placed themselves among the top 200 fastest men in London.
And just wear does that Bullfrog come from? Well in addition to confused Labour MPs, Clapham Common’s wildlife has been known to include American Bullfrogs, which the team originally included in their title. Now they are just Clapham but the frog still remains a part of their kit. Some reckon it looks better from a distance, but to be honest that’s the only time you’ll see a Clapham shirt, just before its owner brings down a Hero-Maker in the end zone. If you’re fortunate enough to play against them, you could ask to trade, if they turn you down there is always one in our replica store. Take it to the track and some day you'll play in it.
