Why should I wear Sand Socks?

Sand Socks protect your feet from extremely hot sand which can cause burn blisters as well as cold sand which is uncomfortable and can cause muscle cramping.  Sand Socks also protect your feet from abrasive sand or from hazards on the beach such as broken glass, stones, or other hazardous foreign objects.  

Will Sand Socks slow me down on the beach like shoes or surfing booties do?

No.  While Sand Socks provide a layer of insulation from hot or cold sand and beach hazards, their elastic fit and lightweight construction preserve a good feel of the sand so you maintain your agility and quickness on the sand surface.  

What are Sand Socks made of?

Sand Socks are constructed of 3mm of rip-resistant Duratex-coated neoprene soles and fine-mesh breathable lycra tops.  These materials provide insulation from menacing surfaces (hot or cold sand) while allowing the foot to breathe and keeping the sand from getting into the sock.  These materials also provide comfortable elasticity for a snugly fitting sock, necessary for agility on the beach.  

Why are Sand Socks better than other socks or booties?

No other products provide both the level of protection and the elastic, snug fit that Vincere Sand Socks do.  Other beach socks or beach booties have tougher, more rigid soles, more like shoes, and thus do not snugly fit the foot causing drag while running and not allowing the athlete to grip a soft sand surface.  Sand Socks’ webbed Duratex sole coating is both elastic and more resistant to rips and tears than other epoxy-coated neoprene products which allow tears to propagate through the solid epoxy/rubber materials.  

I’ve seen many athletic products fail to endure, how can I be sure Sand Socks will provide the quality I need? 

Much neoprene manufacturing (wet suits, athletic braces, etc.) has moved overseas to East Asia.  As a result, even top brands no longer provide the quality expected or initially offered in their products.  For this reason, Vincere Sand Socks continue to be manufactured in the United States where we can guarantee top quality materials and workmanship.  Sand Socks endure a much more rigorous use than most other athletic products and therefore must maintain a higher standard of quality.  Vincere Sports will always have quality as its top priority.  

Will Sand Socks hold up or last very long?

Sand Socks are engineered by beach athletes and have evolved with improved designs and materials over the last 12 years.  Lighter materials, stronger threads, and improved durability soles will allow your Sand Socks to withstand rigorous use on the beach or sand for many months or even years (Vincere Sand Socks as old as 10 years are still in current use by professional athletes in Southern California, and these do not include today’s advanced designs and materials).
