Custom Numbers and Names
Here at Lookfly, we are equipped to make names and numbers in nearly any PC True Type Font that you wish. If you have a particular font in mind, please send it to us or tell us what it’s called and we will see if we can use it for your order. We recommend browsing the free font website Dafont if you’d like to seek out a PC True Type font for yourself that suits your team’s unique look.
Rather than screen printing, which restricts the number of fonts available and makes it impossible to customise a shirt with a name, our numbers and names are uniquely made to order using a material cutting process. For this, we have selected a more “environmental” type of vinyl which contains less damaging chemicals and processes, yet is still durable and lightweight. Once cut, numbers and names are applied to our jerseys and shorts using a heat press. This process has been wash tested to ensure that your names and numbers last for the life of the garment. However, we strongly recommend that you do not tumble dry your technical wear because this will not only damage the fabric but also destroy your name and number.
Most numbers are made approx. 18.6cm tall and for breast/short numbers we work to approx. 5cm tall. However, we may need to adjust the height of your numbers if your font choice is particularly wide or if the event you want your order for requires a certain number size in its regulations. We adjust the size of names to ensure that they are consistent within your order and large enough to be readable on pitch. However, there are some players who may want particularly long names. We do try to accommodate everyone’s name choice, but for consistency sake - we ask that names are no longer than 10 - 12 digits, otherwise it may take up two lines.
Breathable Numbers
We stock a range of breathable perforated vinyl in white, black and metallic gold which will improve the technical performance of your jersey where numbers are printed. This premium vinyl is available at an additional cost.
