We don’t count our days working at Lookfly, but we do try to make each day count.

Since our first outreach project back in 2003, that helped to recruit hundreds of new university students to play Ultimate by giving away free Fresher Pack information CD’s, we have been constantly striving to find new and innovative ways to support our sport and connect with the community. For 7 years, Lookfly worked closely with the UK Ultimate Association’s coaching projects to provide subsidised Ultimate discs for schools. During this time, Lookfly distributed nearly 6000 “Discs4Schools” discs all over the UK to schools, charities and youth partnerships “not for profit” to help coaching staff running training sessions for children up to the age of 16.

Every year, we are also inundated with requests for free discs from adventurous Ultimate playing travellers who generously give up their time to teach Ultimate to disadvantaged children in over the world. Over the years, we have tried to help as much as possible, by giving away free or subsidised discs, only to discover that there is a hard and rocky bottom of our previously “limitless” budget. Whilst we realise we can’t support everyone, we do want to help, so from 2011 Lookfly will be launching the “Lookfly Disc-Advantaged” scheme where individuals can apply for FREE discs from a 300 disc bank, renewed annually and given away on a first come first served basis (max. of 3 free discs per person inc. free shipping, with the option to purchase more at a subsidised rate).

Lookfly also likes to help Ultimate Clubs help themselves. For those teams and individuals who run tournaments to raise money for their clubs and projects, Lookfly can supply a “mini-pitchside shop” full of Lookfly Ultimate goodies like discs, DVDs, books and wristbands to sell to players attending their events. Teams who run a Lookfly “mini-pitchside shop” are provided with a box of stock (for sale or return), a price list, Lookfly stickers and a banner to advertise their stall. What’s more, they are paid 15% commission for everything they sell, adding value and service to their tournaments whilst making money in the process!
